Special Issue: Process and Service-Based Applications

Five papers were selected from the conference and the authors were invited to extend their papers and submit to IJIIT for publication consideration. These papers went through another round of accelerated review and revision and four papers were finally accepted. IIT'05 was organized by the College of Information Technology, of the UAE University and Dubai e-Government. It was a unique scientific research conference , bringing together international research scientists and members of the IT industry to discuss the latest IT innovations in order to better serve society. of Dubai Silicon Oasis, as well as over 60 scientists from around the world. IIT'05 offered two keynotes sessions delivered by Mark De Simone and Dr. Vijay Chandru and 50 rigorously selected regular papers covering a wide range of topics. The papers in this special issue represent an innovative use of software tools, techniques, and methodologies in different applications for the purpose of enhancing the functionality of these applications and increasing the competitiveness of organizations. The first paper titled, " Strategy for Seller Agent in Multiple Online Auctions " argues that much of the research work in online auctions has focused on designing bidding strategy that can be utilized by bidders who want to participate in online auctions. However, very little work has been done on the seller's strategy for online auctions—influenced by several factors.
